About Darby
Darby is a quaint western town located near the southwestern border of Montana and Idaho, along the Continental Divide. We are at the south end of Highway 93, right along the Bitterroot Mountain range, and skirting the gorgeous Continental divide between Montana/Idaho. We are the best hidden secret in Montana! Darby
is small and traditional, but nicely remodeled with a great western motif in
the downtown.
Darby is surrounded by beautiful wilderness and national forest: The Bitterroot
National Forest. (Darby Ranger District). The nearby forests are home to great
hiking, hunting and fishing territory. Fishing enthusiasts enjoy Brook Trout,
Mountain Whitefish, Rainbow Trout, and Westslope Cutthroat Trout, making Darby
and its surrounding areas is the perfect fishing destination.
